Overview
The PPL Center Summer Intern will have the unique opportunity in getting to see all aspects of running the arena. The 12 week program is designed to have the intern immerse themselves in all areas of the arena operation; to include Events, Operations, Box Office, Marketing, Premium Seating/Corporate Partnerships, Finance and Booking. This will allow the intern to see how each department runs separately and how each plays a vital role in making all events a success by working together.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $10.00 to $12.00.

Responsibilities
• The intern with assist various department by observing and communiating with department heads regarding how PPL plans for events.
• At the end of the internship, the candidate will have gained knowledge in event planning process from booking, finance, marketing and execution.
• Be given an overview of how Human Resources works in a venue location
• Observe the process of prospecting, cultivating, selling and maintaining relationships to aid in the sales process of premium seating and corporate sponsorship.
• Learn the intricate details of daily operation and maintenance of the facility and all systems.
• Will gain knowledge in proper box office procedures and ticketing operations.
• Assist the finance department in document preparation, filing, and date entry under direct supervison of the Director of Finance
Qualifications
Open to: College juniors, seniors, or graduate (who will continue on in their studies in the Fall) students.
• Proficient with computers in Windows format and experience in Word, Excel.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently at times.
• Must be selfmotivated with a 'cando' attitude and a strong desire to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work nights and/or weekends when necessary.
