This is a full-time, paid internship opportunity. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in an ISO9001 & ISO17025 accredited professional laboratory setting and contribute to the continued success of our RF Service Lab. In addition, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to: - Learn about RF theory and how it relates to the calibration of RF test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Digital Multi-Meters, etc. - Gain an understanding of metrological practices and how they apply to the maintenance and calibration of equipment - Learn about ESD safety measures and how to properly handle sensitive electronic equipment

Your tasks

  • Assist with the calibration of RF test equipment, including the use of specialized tools and software
  • Support the repair and maintenance of equipment as needed
  • Assist with the organization of the lab, including maintaining inventory and organizing spare parts
  • Perform routine testing and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Assist with the creation and update of technical documentation related to calibration procedures
  • Participate in training and development opportunities as assigned

Your qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Knowledge of RF test equipment and principles is preferred
  • Experience with calibration procedures is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Interns will be located on site in Columbia, MD.
  • Relocation/housing is not provided.
  • To be considered, candidates must be located in the DC/MD area and have US citizenship or permanent work authorization.
