Tesla is looking for an experienced, dedicated, and well-organized Infrastructure Superintendent to join our Tool Installation team working for the most exciting company in the world. This position requires attention to construction details, specifically, the activity sequence necessary to achieve fast, efficient, safe and high-quality manufacturing line installations. Driving the field work is key to the success of our projects, which will require extreme planning up front, and small windows of time to execute them, with no room for failure. Positive, 'outside the box' thinking is a must.


Responsibilities
  • Create, maintain and own P6 schedule for tool installation portion of factory buildout
  • Drive the fieldwork (space ready and utility hookup) to ensure shop schedule stays on track and elevate any installation issues to proper management
  • Plan installation logistics including laydown area, offloading, tool move-in and rough setting
  • Ensure logistics plans are properly communicated to all involved/impacted parties
  • Track and receive material deliveries and resolve delivery discrepancies
  • Coordinate tools move in including ensuring necessary space is available
  • ⁠Assist the Tool Install Project Manager in the development of the execution plans/schedules


Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of construction experience in large industrial construction projects in Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Refining, Pharmaceuticals, Semiconductors, Healthcare, Data Center or equivalent high-tech facilities
  • Previous experience as a Lead Superintendent on previous industrial Tool Install, facility upgrades, Brownfield construction, building renovation or tenant improvement project(s)
  • Understanding of construction design documents and ability to provide constructability feedback prior to and during construction
  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards and environmental regulations
  • Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals
  • OSHA 30 certification (or equivalent); current First Aid and CPR Certification, or be willing to be certified
