Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
Supervise the day to day operations of the Registration and PBX areas. Shares supervisory responsibility of all areas of registration. Ensures hospital registration procedures are followed 100% of all registration. Performs patient registration functions when needed to ensure wait times are kept at a minimum. Communicates with physicians' offices and other hospital departments to enhance cooperation to accomplish the hospital's objectives in regard to the full cycle of registering a patient to our facility. Ensures up-front collection goals are met. Monitors and ensures Cashiering procedures are followed appropriately to ensure the security of all cash.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. One to two years experience in health related fields is necessary
2. Two years of supervisory experience required OR in lieu of previous supervisory experience incumbent must have 5 years previous and most recent experience with a UHS Business Office, also with higher than average annual performance ratings.
3. Excellent customer service skills are required.
4. Computer skills required with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. .
5. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.
EDUCATION / LICENSURE:
1. High School diploma or GED required.
2. Some college hours in a related field preferred.
3. Complete CPI training within 6 months of hire and maintain certification thereafter.
