Shipping Supervisors - Distribution

Responsibilities:

  • Manager the team of employees by providing feedback and communication
  • Oversees and develops a high performing team that meets the objectives agreed upon
  • Managing the workflow in the shipping department
  • Assessing the work performance of the employees and identifying the areas that need improvement within the shipping department
  • Ensuring goals of the department and meeting goals and deadlines and performing at the expected standards
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives and identifies inefficiencies
  • Training new hires and make sure they understand their roles within the shipping area
  • Creates and implements best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes in the warehouse
  • Overseeing general shipping activities within the warehouse
  • Inspecting loading operations to ensure everything is correct
  • Inventory reconciliation
  • Maintain warehouse safety and cleanliness
  • Comprehensive and demonstrated diversity equity & inclusion knowledge and understanding


Qualifications and Skills:
  • Advanced leadership and team management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Expertise in warehouse shipping
  • Knowledge of warehouse policies
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Maintaining teamwork mentality
  • Strong knowledge and computer skills (MS, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong organization skills, ability to prioritize, maintain attention to detail
  • Basic math skills
  • Bachelor's degree
