What will I be doing?

The Seasonal Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for the Cabana Pool Bar and Grill operations, Ensures the expectations of our owners/guests, as well as HGV standards are met and exceeded. Works closely with staff members and departmental managers regarding staff/guests’ interaction and training for Food &Beverage. Ensure the highest level of productivity and efficiency are achieved. Seasonal operates from approximately May 1 - Sept 30th each year.

  • Responsible for all duties pertaining to Cabana Pool Bar and Grill.
  • Assists management with ensuring that all departmental activities are performed within the guidelines of appropriate policies and procedures and that all Food and Beverage Team Members are trained in food quality, sanitation, safety, departmental/resort policies and procedures and guest/owner service standards.
  • Participates in all F&B operations daily to assist with workload and respond to guest/owner inquiries regarding Cabana Bar and Grill services.
  • Knowledge and service of menu items and beverage brands. Recommends menus and menu changes to management considering food cost.
  • Able to order food and beverage for the efficient operations of the Cabana, minimizing waste and maximizing profitability.
  • Supervises and accounts for the accurate collection of monies received at the Cabana F&B outlet.
  • Determines the resolution of problems arising from guest/owner concerns, inventory, supply issues, staffing issues, and other unusual request and inquiries.
  • Ensures the provision of special services to owners/guests as advised.
  • As requested, assists management in performing administrative duties which may include budget control, scheduling, purchasing supplies, preparation of performance appraisals, etc.
  • Ensures at the end of each shift that all F&B associates have completed daily checklists and shift closing are accurate.
  • Ensures all guest interactions are handled in a positive, accurate, and efficient manner at all times.
  • Performs in accordance with all state regulations with regards to alcohol service and consumption.
  • Train and empower F&B team to provide a high level of guest service and demonstrates this behavior in own actions.

  • High school/GED
  • 2-3 years of direct food and beverage experience
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Ability - Frequent walking, standing, reaching, using hands and fingers, sitting
  • Moderate noise, outdoor weather conditions, high places, chemicals, extreme heat and/or cold.
  • Food Safety Manager Cert.,
  • Virginia Managers’ Alcohol Responsibility Training (MART)
  • First Aid/CPR


It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • 2+ years direct food and beverage and retail operations experience in a nice sit-down restaurant or 3+ diamond resort.
  • Responsible Alcohol Delivery Driver (RADD), and Responsible Sellers & Servers
  • Valid Drivers License
