About ECU Health Duplin Hospital

ECU Health Duplin Hospital is an 81-bed facility located in Kenansville, North Carolina. The 15-bed emergency department serves approximately 25,000 patients per year. In addition to providing general medical and surgical services, ECU Health Duplin Hospital offers chemotherapy and other cancer infusion interventions and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center.

Position Summary

The Supervisor oversees the Kitchen, Retail and Patient service areas while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment for the staff of VDUP and its patrons. They develop and evaluate employees while displaying behavior in a manner consistent with the standards and ethics of all leadership professionals. The Food Service Supervisor is involved in prior communication with the Manager of any departmental decision-making, goal-directed planning, and ongoing development of staff. The Food service Supervisor is required to document in the employee record factual, accurate, complete, timely, legal information related to events, performance issues, and evaluations. The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for close monitoring and oversight of the budget, again under the direction of the Manager. The Supervisor of Food Services shall constantly monitor patient satisfaction and ensure compliance to regulatory guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and five years of experience in food services.
At least two years of Supervisory experience required.

1st shift: 6:00am-2:30pm and 10:00am-6:30pm
