Summary

Responsible for assisting in the leadership, coordination and supervision of the specified unit(s). Primary duties include functional responsibility of the daily operations. He/she will coordinate the activities of the nursing staff, and ancillary staff. Upholds standards set forth by the hospital and departments. The supervisor will plan, direct and evaluate total nursing care. Practices within the scope prescribed by the Nevada Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

Required:

• Current and unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) through the Nevada State Board of Nursing.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.  Exception for Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) and Behavioral Health Services (BHS)

• Minimum two (2) years of clinical nursing, in an acute care facility.
• Minimum one (1) year at the Charge RN/Leadership level. Unit Specific Emergency Department •
• Current NVCI/CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification or initial training certification within six (6) months of hire Medical Oncology
