As a Supervisor - Senior Clinical Research Coordinator, you will:
  • Independently direct large, complex, multi-center clinical research protocols/programs in collaboration with the principal investigator and in compliance with regulatory laws and institutional guidelines.
  • In collaboration with the principal investigator, research, develop, and submit to appropriate agencies the study protocol in support of research programs.
  • Accurately apply investigators' scientific data into a cohesive format for the protocol document and associated procedures that are consistent with internal and external policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage research activities and subject participation including screening, enrollment, and recruitment.
  • Identify, review, and report adverse events, protocol deviations, or other unanticipated problems appropriately.
  • Oversee and monitor research data to maintain quality.
  • Perform administrative and regulatory duties related to the study as assigned.
  • Apply statistical/analytical methods to studies and contribute to/authors/co-authors grant applications, abstracts/posters, and manuscripts.
  • Possibly present research results/abstracts internally and externally.
  • Represent Mayo and principal investigator at meetings and in the administration of research protocols.
  • Educate and serve as an expert resource for other research personnel that may include residents and fellows.


In addition to technical duties above, this position serves as the working supervisor over study coordinators in a program or across multiple programs. Supervisory duties performed will vary based on the percentage of time dedicated to supervision.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma with at least 7 years of clinical research coordination/related experience OR
  • Associate's degree/college Diploma/Certificate Program with 5 years of experience in clinical research/related field OR
  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience in clinical research OR
  • Master's degree with 1 year of experience in clinical research.

Additional Qualifications
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience/responsibility in FDA regulated clinical trials is preferred.

License or Certification
  • SoCRA or ACRP certification preferred.
