Job Profile

JOB SUMMARY:

Correctly receives, accessions, processes, and assures proper identification of specimens. Evaluates specimen integrity and notifies appropriate personnel of unacceptable specimens. Performs laboratory order entry and specimen receiving functions. Assigns specific computer generated identification numbers, checks for accuracy and records all items processed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: H.S. Diploma or GED

Work Experience: One (1) year healthcare experience desired, but not required.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Skills: CRT, Medical Terminology, P.C.
