We are looking for a talented Supply Chain Analyst to join our team specializing in Supply Chain Planning for our Components Business Segment in NC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways;
  • Use analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes.
  • Responsible for analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations to improve the organization's Supply Chain.
  • Provide analytical support to one or more functional areas
  • Use common processes tools, and information systems to enable supply chain analysis.
  • Ensure data integrity of all analytics and reports.
  • Analyze and interpret Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and action plans.
  • Participate in six sigma and supply chain improvement projects
  • Use existing business systems to provide analytics and reporting that are capable and repeatable.

  • Materials Planning System Utilization - Uses the materials planning system to manage supply and demand plans taking long-term corrective action on exception messages and other alerts based on root cause analysis; occasionally refers to adhoc tools such as Excel, Access, TOAD, OMS, etc. in performing problem solving, while leveraging the materials planning system as the primary tool in day-to-day operations.
  • Plan for Every Part (PFEP) - Uses PFEP in planning, designing, and management of systems and processes within a facility to ensure delivery of right part at the right time in the right quantity to the right place, which in turn guarantees smooth operations; applies PFEP principles on the end to end supply chain with particular attention to the relationships between master data management, materials planning parameters, engineered material flows, transport management, and warehouse management.
  • Inventory Management and Optimization - Uses analytics and algorithms to determine the optimal level of inventory investment across the end-to-end supply chain within specific constraints (warehouse space, customer delivery, etc.); provides guidance and expertise on planning parameter refinement; develops inventory strategies to support Cummins' strategy and not just a business unit strategy.
  • Materials KPI Management - Operates in relation to recent or historical outputs as compared to expectations of the organization to determine next steps to drive improvement; assesses gaps to the supply chain performance against the expectation of achieving target deliverables; interprets KPIs to understand end-customer impact; strategically balances trade-offs to influence one KPI while minimizing the impact to others.
  • Analysis and Troubleshooting - Extracts, transforms, models, interprets, and presents planning data with the goal of mining useful information, troubleshooting, suggesting conclusions, and supporting value creating decision making.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
  • B.S or B.A in applicable field
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience
  • At least one internship or equivalent work experience in a supply chain role
  • The function of the Supply Chain Analyst is to investigate and resolve issues related to account payables(AP), freight claims, receiving issues (duplicated receipts), support, planner and CSR functions, inventory research and assure the system integrity in accordance to CPM health checks.

Responsibilities:
  • Resolve AP issues.
  • Enter and resolve freight claims.
  • Prepare reports for supplier delivery, logistic extracts, POC consumption.
  • Support inventory analysis research.
  • Set up and audit transaction procedures. Root cause analysis and training
  • Support Inventory Control as needed.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Thorough understanding of accounts payables, freight terms, material flow, POC consumption and setups.
  • Understanding of OCR system as well as shipping and receiving functionality within oracle and upstream AP Effects.
  • Problem Solving Skills
  • Must comply with all Environmental and Management Systems (EMS) policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical skills

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Base salary range: $50,831.3 - $71,168.7
