We are looking for an experienced and motivated Supply Chain Finance Analyst to assist with executing procedures related to the recording and reconciliation of inventory balances and distribution costs. In this role, you will ensure the credibility and accuracy of our inventory balances including local warehouse and 14 consignment warehouses nationwide. Our ideal candidate will be able to work within the Accounting team and cross functionally with Supply Chain, Operations and Customer Relations to assist with process improvements to reduce risk and increase overall reporting accuracy.

Main Responsibility
As a Supply Chain Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for completing month-end postings for distribution activity and any required inventory adjustments, including inventory provisions according to established policy. Alongside the Accounting Director, you will also ensure the General Ledger and Inventory Sub ledger is in balance. This role will be the main contact in organizing annual inventory counts across a number of our warehouses. The Supply Chain Finance Analyst will assist the Business Planning Manager in producing budgets and forecasts of distribution costs. On-time monthly reporting with business commentary is another key responsibility of this role.

Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will have proven analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, a positive attitude and will need to be comfortable communicating and interacting with members outside the Finance team as this role has frequent and significant interaction with the Supply Chain team and Operations.

Skills and qualifications include:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounting/finance analyst role with consumer packages goods experience.
  • Experience with wholesale industry inventory is desirable (not a pre-requisite)
  • Experience with inventory adjustments, Journal entries, variance analysis and general reconciliation.
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point).
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, formatting, charting, pivot tables and reporting).
  • Experience in Accounting Practices up to and including Trial Balance.
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills and proven analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Self-motivator with high attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate and work well in a team-oriented environment specifically Accounting, Supply Chain and Customer Relations.
  • Bachelor's degree necessary
  • Master's or CPA a plus
