Job Summary

Ensures item master updates are completed in a timely manner with appropriate HCPCS and Rev Codes for updates to Cerner Surginet and the CDM to avoid billing delays. Ensures any new inventory additions, conversions, inventory back order changes and implant inventory records are accurately entered in the materials information system. Works with and leads the Inventory Coordinators at each hospital to maintain appropriate inventory values, fill rates and inventory accuracy in Central Service and Surgical Services areas as well as any other area that Supply Chain supports inventory management related activities. Will develop scorecards to ensure all activities and performances are tracked and achieved to expected standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the computer and peripheral data processing equipment within Material Data Management. • Develop and maintain operational and system related policies and procedures between Data Management and user departments. • Direct and review the testing of MIS maintained software. • Manage charge reconciliation solutions for suspended supply charges across the organization. i.e. CERNER. • Management of special bill tracking and providing accurate data to teams within the organization. • Development and management of Training and training plan for Infor. • Assist Patient Accounts and Revenue Integrity Team with supply charge reconciliation across the organization. • Assist in correction of inventory variances in all inventory locations managed by supply chain management. Includes review of GL and INFOR activities to identify discrepancies and corrective measures. • Assist the Accounts Payable and Purchasing teams of invoice reconciliation. • Assist the System Director in various specific areas to be assigned. • Assist System Director managing Data Management staff with receiving process of purchased services. These are non-tangible products that do not cross the receiving dock. • Create new items in "INFOR CLOUDSUITE", including all pertinent fields. • Ensure items pass to Cerner and finalize updates in the CDM. • Communicate items and updates to the Surgery staff and any other necessary parties. • Manages the charge reconciliation process of suspended supplies with Revenue Integrity team. • Serves and is recognized by System Director as the lead super user to maintain pertinent system applications issues and resolve in a timely manner. • Review and maintain the item master with consistent industry standards, as well as item descriptions that are usable for the OR staff. • Ensure the timely processing and distribution of all reports. • Develop and maintain operational and system related procedures. • Develop and maintain quality assurance and performance indicators and standards. • Develop standards for inventory control and integrity. • Identify shortcomings in departmental, team, and individual efforts to achieve standards. • Train employees in processes to ensure inventory integrity. • Participates in Supply Chain Quarterly Business reviews and presents key inventory metrics. • Completes monthly inventory reports detailing inventory values, fill rates, picking errors and variances to general ledger. • Participates in the regularly scheduled value analysis teams. • Vandalia North lead for month-end close process for purchasing and inventory. • Annual physical inventory process lead for Vandalia North and South.
