On behalf of our client, Procom Services is seeking a Supply Chain Manager. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of purchasing, production planning and scheduling, inventory, shipping, and receiving.

The Supply Chain Manager will lead a team and have direct ownership in the development of material management including purchasing and planning policies, procedures, and standard work as they relate to the site strategies. This position will collaborate cross-functionally and/or lead lean and continuous improvement initiatives to implement advanced lean methodologies.

Job Details
  • - Comply with and manage all personnel working under your supervision to ensure adherence to the Company's Code of Conduct and Ethics and Company Values.
  • - Lead the site in the development of successful material planning and purchasing strategies based on current customer demand, future growth, new product introduction, and capacity that results in right-sized inventory management.
  • - Own Capacity Planning analysis to identify constraints and lead Value Stream Production Planners to facilitate discussions within the Value Stream to close gaps that support the Sales and Operations planning outlook.
  • - Ensure the development of a long-range Supply plan on a monthly cadence.
  • - Proactively identify material supply constraints and lead Planner/Buyers to facilitate discussions within the Value Stream to close gaps that support the shipment outlook.
  • - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify roadblocks and actions through problem-solving facilitation and provide solutions to remove or mitigate issues.
  • - Utilize lean manufacturing and continuous improvement to develop and implement policies, procedures, standard work, tools, and training for the purchasing, planning, production control, and material handling team to drive improvements across the Value Streams.
  • - Develop, maintain, and report monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) that measure performance and achieve value stream initiatives aligned with organization strategies.
  • - Drive data and inventory transaction accuracy in the ERP system.
  • - Provide leadership, facilitation, and coaching to develop the team and provide oversight across the site through Leader Standard Work and daily management walks to drive improvement.
  • - Responsible for purchasing, production planning, and material control staff, which may include commodity managers, buyers/planners, material control, shipping & receiving, and plan for every part (PFEP) owner roles.
  • - Responsible for interpreting and applying purchasing best practices and for assuring all buyers are educated and following these practices.
  • - Identify sole source and other critical suppliers and develop action plans to mitigate risk and reduce dependency on single-source vendors.
  • - Support Make vs. Buy analysis.
  • - Perform other duties as assigned.


Mandatory Skills
  • - Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field with greater than 6 years of progressive experience in manufacturing. At least 2 years of experience as a supervisor is required.
  • - Extensive experience working within an ERP and/or MRP system is required.
  • - CPPE or ASCM certification preferred.
  • - Working knowledge and experience with Lean principles with proven experience leading cross-functional teams driving change and improving systems and processes.
  • - Proven capabilities in the area of planning and manufacturing processes for machining and assembly manufacturing environments, including scheduling, shop floor planning, kanban, and supply chain.
  • - Must be able to read and interpret schematics, blueprint drawings, and detailed work instructions.
  • - Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
