Supply Chain Scheduler - Hopkinton
We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Scheduler to join our team. The Supply Chain Scheduler is responsible for scheduling supply and demand in the Hopkinton facility. He/she ensures that executable plans & schedules are in place for the Drums of the Operation Floor, to support on-time delivery to the customers. In this role, you will communicate with the Customer Service & Procurement teams to align the material flow to meet our customers' demands and strive for 95% Schedule conformance and 98% On-Time Delivery to the Customer.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure and maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all PPE requirements. Contribute to a Safety-First Culture by identifying Risky Situations.
  • Maintains a detailed visual schedule that manages key constraints of the Operation Floor, using the drum-buffer-rope scheduling method.
  • Establish MRP schedule t o meet build and procurement optimization, stock replenishment, and on-time delivery to customers.
  • Monitors materials inventories, tracks the progress of production and reviews factors that affect schedules.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Supply Chain to develop plans for optimizing inventory levels (Safety Stock, Obsolete Inventory Scrap, etc.)
  • Sequences jobs so that molding operation delivers high-quality products in time to meet job due dates.
  • Identifies and escalates sales order booking issues and on-time delivery.
  • In collaboration with Engineering, ensures timely/accurate Bill of Material, BOM, and management to align with Engineering change Orders, ECO, and new product introduction.
  • Collaborates with Operations to execute Oracle work processes that guarantee accurate inventory and job tracking.
  • Collaborates with quality to ensure maximization of shipments to customers.
  • Identify and escalate the correction of MRP errors that impact job scheduling (e.g., yield, material lead time, capacity constraints, etc.)
  • Identify and initiate corrective actions to recurring root causes that cause missed schedules.
  • With the support of the manager, leads continuous improvement projects that will improve the scheduling and execution of material delivery.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University; or One to Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and production scheduling experience. APICs certification is desirable as is experience with AS9100, IATF16949, ISO9001, or other similar quality systems.
  • Experience using MRP tools and management of related data.
  • Knowledge of Capacity planning, shop floor scheduling, and other MRP applications and visual pull systems
  • Knowledge of materials practices converting forecast to MRP and Capacity Planning within a Lean factory environment.
  • INFOR XA ERP application experience is highly desirable.
