Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Supply Chain Technician I is responsible for the distribution of material and linen within the hospital system. This position serves as a liaison between Supply Chain Management and all point-of-service contacts. The Supply Chain Technician I will actively participate in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Employee may access secure medication supply areas to complete assigned job duties.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates, through behavior, CAMC's Core Values of Quality, Service with Compassion, Respect, Integrity, Stewardship and Safety as outlined in the organization's Service Excellence Program. • Efficient and accurate distribution of materials and linen within CAMC facilities. • Delivers non-stock supplies to all departments and keeps record of receipts. • Performs daily housekeeping functions in the linen room and other assigned work areas. • Maintains established schedule for distribution of material and linen. • Assist with loading and unloading of supplies and linen from delivery trucks. • Pull soiled linen from locations in the hospital to the dock area. • Develop and maintain a positive and effective relationship with all point-of-service representatives. • Serve as a positive and professional representative of Supply Chain Management. • Completes the daily shift report documentation. • Comply with all CAMC rules for health, safety and personnel conduct. • Maintain a clean and safe work area. • Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Patient Group Knowledge (Only applies to positions with direct patient contact) The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages. Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients. Competency Statement Must demonstrate competency through an initial orientation and ongoing competency validation to independently perform tasks and additional duties as specified in the job description and the unit/department specific competency checklist. Perform work in alignment with the overall mission and strategic plan of the organization. 8. Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures, as applicable. 9. Perform related duties as assigned.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED (Required) Experience: 3-6 months of warehouse/stocking experience (preferred)
