Supply Chain Technician

General Summary of Position
Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Technician performs daily tasks to support the successful functioning of the hospital supply chain operational requirements. This includes providing customer service to all internal customers to assure patients can be cared for in a timely manner.

Primary Duties:

Cross-trained to cover multiple areas of supply chain operations including but not comprehensive of case cart picking, support of all nursing units, distribution of O&M truck.

Responds to needs of all internal customer requests in a friendly and helpful manner.

Processes all outgoing mail utilizing the postage meter; Distributes mail to appropriate recipients.

Perform receiving functions utilizing the handheld device. Inspects packages for damages; Verifies accuracy of shipment for correct item(s) and quantities.

Enters receipts into the system and prints the delivery ticket; Stages packages for delivery to appropriate department/individual.

Assist in receiving, sorting and distribution of the evening distributor truck to the perioperative departments.

Breaks down pallets to OR, PACU, Pre-Op, Endo and SPD.

Delivers sterile product to appropriate departments.

Enter purchase requisitions as needed.

Attends continuing education programs. Attends hospital sponsored training programs as required by the department.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Prior work experience not required.
