    Position Responsibilities
    • In collaboration with teachers, assume responsibility for supporting Adult learners in their educational goals.
    • Support teachers and students with routine data-collection and record-keeping.
    • Demonstrate an understanding, patient, warm and receptive attitude toward students.
    • Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
    • Maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff, and the general public.
    • Will work flexible hours between 8-4pm up to 5 days a week depending on student needs.
    • Supervision under the Director of Adult Education.

    Qualifications
    • Completed at least 60 credit hours at a post-secondary college, or have associate degree or higher degree, or
    • Pass one of the The State Board of Education approved formal assessments for demonstrating basic skills:
      • Basic Skills Examination
      • Passing score on the ETS Parapro Assessment (460 or higher is required)

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
    • Knowledge of basic computer technology: Microsoft Office, Google Office Suite, Adobe. ? Ability to effectively express ideas verbally and in written form.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments.
    • Ability to work with students and staff in a professional manner
    • Proficient and literate in English
    • Demonstrates the professional and personal characteristics for working effectively with students, parents, school personnel, community and court systems; and
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects under various timelines
    • Highly effective organizational and interpersonal skills
    • A minimum of 2 years experience working in K-12 education
    • Familiarity with community organizations and businesses
    • Familiarity or knowledge of the court process for the purposes of truancy related issues.

    Salary
    • Compensation: $20/hour
