What You'll Do:

As a Physician Assistant with our Surgical Care Group, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive patient care under the supervision of our experienced physicians. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Serving as a Surgical First Assist in the Operating Room and performing minor procedures at the bedside.
  • Conducting patient interviews, gathering pertinent information, and performing physical examinations.
  • Writing orders for diagnostic tests and medications, collaborating with physicians to develop long-term care plans.
  • Promptly documenting patient history, physicals, and surgical consults.
  • Performing daily patient assessments, visiting patients post-procedure, and providing emotional support to patients and families.
  • Discharging patients, writing prescriptions, completing necessary paperwork, and dictating discharge summaries.
  • Recognizing and reporting relevant information requiring urgent attention.
  • Collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary team and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Adhering to infection control, safety, and Universal Precaution Procedures.
  • Actively participating in staff meetings and continuing education activities to stay updated on medical advancements.


Qualifications

What You Will Bring:
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Previous experience preferred.
  • Licensure by the state of New Hampshire as a Physician Assistant.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, completed through the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required, completed through the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to deliver patient care tailored to specific demographics and needs.
  • Proficiency in assessing and adapting treatment to meet patient population needs.
  • Physical capability to perform essential job functions, including lifting and wearing safety equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to establish cooperative working relationships.
  • Willingness to accept feedback and take appropriate actions.
  • Visual acuity suitable for detailed inspections and data analysis.
