Surgical Schedule Coordinators are responsible for the following:

  • Schedules surgical cases for physicians according to physician and patient preference.
  • Assists physicians with transfers, ER/direct admissions as needed.
  • Obtains all necessary referrals and pre-certifications for surgery and any testing.


The Surgical Schedule Coordinator will handle all tasks involving scheduling and pre certification for surgical procedures. They will pre-certify all scheduled surgeries with insurance companies at least two weeks prior to scheduled surgery, or as soon as notified of surgery.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three (3) years experience in a surgical office preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
