Purpose:
Schedules all surgical procedures for the surgical services department (excluding the GI Lab).
Responsibilities:
- Make corrections from previous day in software.
- Print schedule and distribute to appropriate departments.
- Maintain daily communication with OR Unit Director.
- Choose and print appropriate preference cards for daily procedures.
- Communicate changes in schedule with appropriate department.
- Ensure accurate organization of surgical schedule.
- Communicate with physician offices related to scheduling process.
- Maintain block scheduling as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's degree in Secretarial Science or Business or equivalent experience preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Act 34
