Surgical Services Operations and Business Manager

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services, in keeping with the medical center's core values and working within a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care delivery, leads and promotes the provision of quality patient care. Analyzes, plans, organizes and leads business, operations and human resources across Surgical Services.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education
  • Bachelor of Science in Finance, Accounting, Operations Engineering, Business or equivalent
  • Masters in healthcare administration or business administration preferred.
• Experience
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of progressive business management or financial analysis experience required.
  • Healthcare experience preferred
• Licensure and/or Certification
  • None required
• Skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately with people-both verbally and in writing.
  • Microsoft Office Skills Required and SQL, SIS, QLIK, TABLEAU, Provation, Meditech, Visio experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with various cross-functional teams, embracing innovations, meeting customer needs and responding to industry trends.
  • Responsible for the overall business/fiscal management for surgical/GI services.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Assures inventory is maintained appropriately.
  • Responsible for assuring proper pricing and billing are implemented and maintained.
  • Responsible for surgical services information systems and applications.
  • Responsible for strategic planning.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
