ECU Health SurgiCenter is a freestanding facility with a multi-specialty staff of approximately 200 physicians, all guided by a single goal: to provide quality outpatient surgical care in a patient and family centered environment. Performing more than 12,000 outpatient surgical procedures a year, the facility offers a convenient and clinically excellent alternative to inpatient hospitalization for a wide range of surgical procedures. Outpatient procedures are performed in eight modern, well-equipped suites by surgeons specializing in dental and oral surgery, orthopedics, gastroenterology, general and plastic surgery, gynecology, podiatry, neurosurgery, urology and more.

Position Summary

As a Surgical Technologist, you are required to maintain the integrity, safety and efficiency of the sterile field throughout surgical procedures.

Responsiblilities:

• Prepare and arrange instruments and supplies

• Assist the surgeon and assistants throughout the operation by providing sterile instruments and supplies

• Attend educational programs and staff orientation which promote personal and professional development

• Participate in Service Excellence Programs

Minimum Requirements

• Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program, Certification from a Military Program, Graduated from an accredited Nursing Program RN/LPN

• 2 years of experience less than 5 years no CST needed, with 5 years and CST promote to III, with 8 years and no CST promote to III

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Other Information

• 40 hours a week

• Monday - Friday (6:45 am - 5:15 pm)

• No Weekends, Holidays, and On-Call
