As a CBRE Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing consulting services to an assigned market or client account to help achieve the company's strategic business objectives.
This job is part of the Project Management function. They are responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion. This position will focus on solar related projects with 15% of travel.
What you'll do
- Manage all areas of project management for commercial real estate projects. This includes planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
- Interact directly with clients to prepare all elements of the project, including the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
- Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process. Conduct a standard request for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.
- Implement project documentation governance that is aligned with company and client requirements.
- Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely, and coordinated.
- Direct the project delivery team by providing mentorship and direction to achieve goals.
- Build plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule. Track the progress of each project and report status and variances.
- Demonstrate ability to identify project threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans. Implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Mentor others and share in-depth knowledge of own your job subject area and broad understanding of several job fields within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
- Work within broad guidelines and policies and explain difficult or sensitive information.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.
- General knowledge of leases, contracts and construction practices and the ability to read architectural drawings.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information with a willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
- Interpersonal skills with an advanced inquisitive mentality.
- Sophisticated math skills and the ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
