Summary:

The Swim Instructor will be primarily responsible for delivering a successful aquatics lesson program, providing excellent customer service and providing a safe, professional, friendly and clean environment for all aquatics participants

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to all aquatics participants
• Assist the Fitness Coordinator with the development and delivery of successful aquatics programming and courses
• Attend all staff meetings and training programs as required
• Comply with all system policies and procedures
• Conduct record keeping and keep fitness related records up to date per Health and Fitness policies
• Ensure the safety of the pool deck by keeping clean and free of clutter
• Re-rack all aquatics weights and assist in maintaining a neat, clean and organized
• clean workout area
• Ensure the safety of water quality by testing water per Health and Fitness protocols and procedures before and after classes
• Create a presence among our members that will encourage members to approach the staff with any questions and/or concerns about health and fitness
• Maintain current appropriate certifications
• Maintain integrity and professionalism at all times, on or off the premises
• Be creative and innovative when working with clients
• Be available to participate in community events
• Stay up-to-date on aquatics routines, exercises, and treatments for special populations
• Clean and maintain equipment per Health and Fitness policy and procedure

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• BLS
