Location

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060. Anticipated start January 2023.

Job Summary

Responsible for providing swimming instruction at the University's recreational facilities. Ensures the safety of participants through direct supervision and communicates with parents and participants before and/or after sessions.

Responsibilities

1. Plans, coordinates and teaches "Learn-to-Swim" sessions

2. Performs mid-session and final evaluations

3. Cleans teaching area after swim lessons

4. Completes all necessary records and reports

5. Maintains contact with parents or guardians before and/or after lessons and through email and/or phone conversations

Current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Ability to demonstrate skills as required for class content and use teaching aids such as

kickboards, diving rings, lifejackets, etc.

• Knowledge and application of teaching swimming and water safety skills

• Ability to work independently and possess energy and enthusiasm

• Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

• Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills

• Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)

• Strong attention to detail and follow up skills

• Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
