Our clients dedicated healthcare team, is seeking a talented System Administrator to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the optimal performance and security of our IT infrastructure, with a focus on Google Workspace management, Jira administration, system security, and more. THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU
Key Responsibilities:
1. Google Workspace Management:
  • Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) applications such as Gmail, Drive, Calendar, and Docs.
  • Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, and settings within the Google Admin Console.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Google Workspace services.
  • Implement best practices for data security, compliance, and backup within Google Workspace.

2. Jira Administration:
  • Administer Atlassian Jira software, including user management, project configuration, workflow customization, and plugin integration.
  • Collaborate with teams to optimize Jira workflows, boards, and issue tracking processes.
  • Provide user support, training, and documentation for Jira users.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to Jira service availability and performance.

3. System Administration:
  • Manage and maintain various systems including servers, databases, and networking infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, and update operating systems and software applications.
  • Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and security posture.
  • Implement and maintain system backups, disaster recovery plans, and high availability solutions.

4. Security Management:
  • Implement security policies, procedures, and controls to protect systems and data.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
  • Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay current with emerging threats, security technologies, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience working within or closely with Apple's Information Security teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of Apple's security protocols, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience in implementing security measures specific to Apple devices, operating systems, and software applications.

5. Single Sign-On (SSO) Administration:
  • Configure and manage Single Sign-On solutions such as SAML, OAuth, or OpenID Connect.
  • Integrate applications and services with SSO for seamless user authentication and access management.
  • Troubleshoot SSO authentication and authorization issues.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements related to identity and access management.

6. Penetration Testing:
  • Plan and execute penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications.
  • Document and report findings, including recommendations for remediation.
  • Work with development and IT teams to prioritize and address security vulnerabilities.
  • Continuously improve penetration testing methodologies and tools to enhance security posture.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
  1. Proven experience as a system administrator or similar role. (5 years of expereince for reference)
    1. Proficiency in Splunk, including the ability to create and manage dashboards, reports, and alerts to monitor system and network activity
    2. Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in system administration and security roles, such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  2. Proficiency in managing Google Workspace, Jira, and other collaboration tools.
    1. Experience using GitHub and Git workflows.

3. Knowledge of network security, encryption, and authentication protocols.
a. Familiarity with penetration testing tools and methodologies.
b. Experience with Single Sign-On solutions such as Okta, Azure AD, or Auth0
