IBS is the worldwide Department of Defense (DoD) joint program for transporting intelligence, surveillance & reconnaissance (ISR) and targeting data to all levels of tactical and strategic operational users.

IBS provides global, 24/7, dissemination of time sensitive Indications & Warning and Force Protection data to Joint Warfighters and Collaborating Nation partners conducting military operations around the world. MEG serves a vital role in supporting the IBS Enterprise, providing continuity in skills crucial to support military operations. MEG integrates the talents and skills of team members to form an IBS Enterprise Support Services Team to provide world-class IBS customer support.

The System Administrator will be responsible for managing and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ensuring system performance, availability, and security. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network concepts, system administration, and cybersecurity principles, along with hands-on experience in troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and virtualization technologies.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience performing System Administrator duties

• Proven experience in systems administration, network management, and cybersecurity.

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.

• Proficient in analyzing and implementing DISA STIGs

• Ensure compliance with established systems administration procedures.

• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and/or software issues impacting system/server performance.

• Experience reviewing ACAS scans and performing corrective actions

• In-depth knowledge of Windows workstation and server operating systems

• Familiarity with HBSS/ESS capabilities and configuration

• Must comply with 8140 DCWF 451 certification requirements. Current Security+ and/or advanced certifications are required

Desired Experience:

• Administer and maintain system/server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability.

• Configure, monitor, and optimize system/server performance.

• Perform regular system maintenance, including hardware repairs, disk checks, routine reboots, and data dumps.

• Conduct functional and connectivity testing to ensure operability.

• Manage system/server configurations and resource allocation.

• Maintain baseline system security according to organizational policies.

• Implement and enforce local network usage policies and procedures.

• Apply security patches and updates for commercial products in line with management timelines.

• Manage network access, identity, and access controls, including PKI and VPN security.

• Ensure compliance with organizational IT security policies, including account creation, password rules, and access control.

• Recover failed systems/servers and plan, execute, and verify data redundancy and system recovery procedures.

• Identify and resolve connectivity problems and interface issues.

• Ensure compliance with organizational IT security policies, including account creation, password rules, and access control.

• Develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures.

• Design group policies and access control lists to align with organizational standards and needs.

• Monitor system performance and availability using relevant measures and indicators.

• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot system/server faults.

• Conduct regular checks and maintenance to ensure equipment functionality
