System Engineer - Tier 2

Systems Engineer:
The Select Group is looking for a System Engineer Tier II for one of their top telecommunication clients. As part of a Wireless platform team, you will be supporting multiple critical applications byresponding to high volume incidences and providing resolutions to Tier 1 - Tier 3 tickets.This will be a long term contract, located in Denver, CO. Shift work: Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Saturday (12:00 pm - 10:00 pm).

Systems Engineer Requirements:

• 2-3 years of professional experience, ideally within anenterprise environment supporting high volumes of tickets and incidences.
  • Must have experience as an engineer resolving T1, T2, and T3 tickets
• Platform Support specifically within Linux
• Scripting knowledge is helpful: Shell Scripting, Python Scripting, PowerShell Scripting
• Tracking tickets within JIRA and updating completion/documentation as needed

Nice to Have Skills:

• Kubernetes and AWS

Systems Engineer Responsibilities:

• Help manage a high volume of incidences/tickets that directly or indirectly impact customer wireless networks. Could be managing up to 30 critical tickets in a month with over 50 less complex tickets. High volume incident management.
• Timely response to priority tickets that come through the NOC due to outages (prioritization based on severity, customer outage = Sev1)
• Support troubleshooting efforts and documenting the actions
• Help restore service at outage sites
• Running scripts and performing deployments based on SOP’s and MOP’s
• Perform scheduled health checks
