In this role, you will be a part of an enterprise IT Service Management (ITSM) process across SOFPREP's specialized software tools and networks. The position provides day to day support to facilitating the team's custom development, operation & maintenance, enhancement/modernization, and cybersecurity/Risk Management Framework (RMF) support to SOFPREP-owned infrastructure or technology assets. This is also in support of maintenance and enhancement of the SPPN domain and interfaces within the SOF Information Enterprise (SIE).IT service management, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), and other relevant domains. Veterans encouraged to apply. This position is a part time role and below are representative activities for this role.ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities:
  • Administers, develops, runs tests, implements, and maintains operating system and related software.
  • Establishes and implements standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves software, operating system, and networking problems.
  • Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups and performs data recoveries.
  • Recommends hardware and software upgrades according to growth statistics and disk space forecasts.
  • Provides technical support for system users.
  • Performs work under direct supervision.
  • Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or equivalent (relevant professional experience or military service is an acceptable substitute) or 3-5 year of relevant working experience.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain & maintain one is required.
  • Must possess one or one of the following: A+, Security+, Cloud+, ITIL
  • Demonstrated experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) Process supporting DoD or similar environment
  • Understanding of ITIL, agile methodologies, DoD Risk Management/Security policies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skill
  • Additional duties as assigned or required.
