The System Administrator is responsible for maintaining the ongoing reliability, performance and support of the systems environment. Monitors systems, responds to problems and plans for growth. Provides ongoing systems analysis. Assists in designing, developing, testing and implementing technical solutions for business applications. Creates Change plans. Evaluates and integrates new hardware configurations and provides support of client technologies on mainframe platforms and peripherals. Responds to work requests regarding installation, configuration and/or maintenance of client software and the deployment of new technology releases, troubleshooting, and software repair.

1. BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
2. 7 years of experience in Windows server configuration/maintenance such as setup/creation, security, and patching.
3. 3 years of experience in building continuous integration and release pipelines.
4. Strong shell scripting such as Python, Bash and PowerShell to develop scripts and automation tools/tasks to streamline the application setup, patching, and configuration process.
5. Good knowledge on implementing and enforcing security measures, such as access controls, user permissions, and authentication mechanisms.
6. Troubleshoot/fix different environment problems, test infrastructure fixes, and work with development teams to resolve any infrastructure issues.
7. Set up monitoring tools and processes to track the health, performance, and availability of deployed Windows applications.
8. Investigate and troubleshoot application-related incidents, such as crashes, performance degradation, or compatibility problems.
9. Collaborate with developers and system administrators to analyze application logs, error messages, and performance bottlenecks.
10. Solid understanding and practical experience of software development life cycles, with particular emphasis on release engineering functions
11. Share knowledge and best practices with team members and stakeholders to foster continuous improvement and knowledge transfer.
12. Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base articles for the application setup process.
13. Good understanding of programming languages such as C#/Java
14. Strong knowledge of IP networking, DNS, load balancing and CDNs
15. Actively participate in a Scrum environment, iterate quickly, and contribute toward key goals.
16. Containerization knowledge would be nice (Docker/Kubernetes)
17. Good to have experience with various dev and devops tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, Nexus, JFrog, Harness, GitHub Enterprise, Gitlab, Ansible playbook, Gitlab, Jira, ADO, Windows, Linux, SQL
18. Experience with deploying applications on various platforms such as Windows/Linux. Account Manager
