Summary

Position Highlights:

The Business Systems Analyst II is responsible for application design, development, installation, and support of key business, financial, and administrative applications across the enterprise. Primary business areas supported include Facilities, Security, Nursing Operations, Revenue Cycle, Legal and Compliance, Medical Staff Services, Food Services, and Information Technology.

Responsibilities


  1. Identifies and documents system requirements and use cases

  2. Develops, customizes, or configures software to meet specifications

  3. Provides expertise and product knowledge to install, configure, and support application systems

  4. Provides expertise in problem determination, evaluation, and solution

  5. Updates project, incident, and change tracking systems

  6. Assists in the development of system documentation and procedures

  7. Performs the role of test coordinator to ensure delivery of a quality solution

  8. Assists in the development of comprehensive test plans and test cases

  9. Executes detailed test cases to minimize negative impact on customers

  10. Performs post-implementation support of new or upgraded systems

  11. Participates in 24x7 on-call rotations

  12. Applications supported may include but are not limited to Niagara Building Automation, S2, Passage Point, TeleTracking Capacity Management Suite, TMS, T2 Flexpark, MD Staff, MD Stat, FM Systems, Point of Sale Systems and others.



Credentials and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or healthcare/business related discipline

  • Minimum five (5) years system development, implementation, and support

    • An additional 4 years directly related work experience on top of the 5 years required (a total of 9) may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree




Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications

Ability to work closely in a team environment

Proven ability to learn new skills and technology

Project coordination experience including communication of issues and progress

Ideal Candidate:

Relevant experience in a healthcare IT environment

Experience with performance improvement and process management

Experience implementing and supporting Service Management tools

Experience with SQL, stored procedures, and database triggers on SQL Server platform

Experience with SSIS packages, MS Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, and other reporting tools

Demonstrated understanding of Information Security practices

ITIL Foundation certification
