Job Summary

Responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and Databases/SAN/Systems within the Information Services Department. Ensures the uptime, performance, resources, and security of the computer systems and Databases/SAN/Systems meet the service level agreements of the organization. May acquire, install, or upgrade computer components and software; provide routine automation; maintain security policies; troubleshoot; train and/or supervise staff; or offer technical support. for projects. Demonstrates a basic understanding and adheres to departmental processes for change control.\u202f\u202f\u202f\u202fMaintains a level of cybersecurity knowledge sufficient to securely accomplish their job duties.\u202f

Responsibilities

1. Under minimal indirect supervision and or direction, performs work that is varied and that is difficult in character involving responsibility. 2. Recognizes processes with needed efficiency enhancements and develops and leads plan for remediation. 3. Mentoring colleagues of a lower job level on Database/SAN/System process improvement, industry knowledge, effective communication, team building, and non-task oriented skills as required. 4. Complex Database/SAN/System problem solving that may affect more than one system of responsibility and effectively coordinate efforts with other department resources to resolve. 5. Maintains understanding of current Database/SAN/System industry standards and applies them to daily work. 6. Mentors and leads departmental activities to maintain industry standards. 7. Analyze and develop recommendations for strategic planning. 8. Advanced certification required and Work toward Expert certification/accreditation for specific vendor and/or governing body related to specific applications/tools for which responsibility is held for support. 9. Participate and follow technology forums, discussions, and message boards and provide feedback to local team 10. Attend and participate in Technology meetups and provide feedback to local team 11. Subscribe and participate in technology newsletter feeds and provide feedback to local team 12. Participates and/or coordinates local user group and provide feedback to local team 13. Initiates and leads contract review process for version control, review, and execution. Actively participates in negotiation with necessary vendor as a subject matter expert. 14. Participates in RFQ/RFP process as I/S liaison/representative until analysis is complete and a recommendation to the organization is ready to be made. 15. On call as required. 16. Flexible hours when needed. 17. All other duties as assigned.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree (Required) Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Advanced Certification required and Expert certification preferred Experience: 10 years of related professional information technology support experience
