Our NORAD Operations Group
Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).
Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:
• Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.
• Mitigation of orbital conflicts.
• Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.
• Operations and maintenance of classified communications.
• Software development and integration.
NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:
• Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado
• Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado
• Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska
• Vandenberg Space Force Base, California
• Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world
Description of Duties:
The Systems Engineersupports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will:
Prepare technical documents which define, specify, and recommend system/subsystem characteristics. Prepares management reports and conducts technical presentations for planning, implementation and corrective action using application of engineering economy principles
Provide system/program engineering, technical support and technical training to support programs/initiatives, including but not limited to:
Acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, continued evolution, deployment/fielding and installation, and operations oversight
Provide concepts and requirements analyses support services including, but not limited to, reviewing, and analyzing:
-Initial Capabilities Documents (ICDs)
-System-Subsystem Design Document (SSDD)
-Engineering Investigations (EIs)
-Internal Interface Document (IID)
-Network Topologies
-Authorization Boundary Diagrams (ABD)
-Hardware Software List (HW/SW)
-Software Version Description (SVD)
-Version Change Notice (VCN)
This position will be filled and work onsite in Colorado Springs, CO

Basic Requirements:
• Clearance Requirements: Active Secret Clearance
• Educational Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree Required
• Preferred degree: Computer Science, System Engineering, Software Engineering
• 3 years related engineering experience
• Experienced with one of the following: Independently evaluating, selecting, adapting, and modifying standard techniques and criteria to plan and conduct engineering assignments
and conduct engineering assignment
• Experienced with plans, schedules, conduct, and coordination of detailed phases of engineering work through the selection and adaptation or modification of techniques, procedures, and criteria
• Experienced with System Engineer V planning and designing model
• Experienced with MS Office applications Visio, Excel, and Word
Desired Requirements:
• Experience with Agile Methodologies
• Experience managing multiple troubleshooting tasks simultaneously
• Experience with Systems Integration
• Experience with Database Hardware and Software Inventory Management
This position is expected to pay $80,000 - $110,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
