The Leidos Human Health and Performance Contract supporting the Johnson Space Center is seeking an experienced Systems Engineering Integrator in Houston, Texas.

This position provides system engineering integration for the Orion Program for lunar exploration missions. Tasks include developing plans and processes for conducting major milestone reviews, integrating multiple program and cross-program stakeholders for system acceptance and design certification (SAR/DCR) and flight readiness (CoFR) reviews, providing leadership in conducting milestone reviews, coordinating team engagement in reviews, and performing system integration with management and other key stakeholders in both planning and execution. A significant portion of the job involves communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to find acceptable solutions to complex problems and processes. The person will work at Johnson Space Center with a team of System Engineering and Integration (SE&I) personnel in a hybrid environment.

Must pass a Public Trust background investigation; per the contract, U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residence status is required.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop milestone review execution plans for lunar exploration milestone reviews that include agenda coordination with Orion Program management, personnel training, schedule, product reviews, comment management, dashboard development and maintenance
  • Develop plans and products for how to conduct program milestone reviews, including success criteria, adjudication, board responsibilities, and NASA Procedural Requirement tailoring
  • Develop and integrate plans, products and processes for Certification of Flight Readiness (CoFR) reviews
  • Integrate multiple program and cross-program stakeholders through system acceptance/design certification and flight readiness review processes, including tracking and organizing burndown of open work and issues
  • Coordinate and communicate with program managers, including program manager, to ensure complete understanding of open work and sufficiency to declare milestone reviews a success.

What Sets You Apart:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or closely related field (e.g. Science, Technology) and a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, to include at least 2 years performing milestone review integration or project management that included product delivery
  • Experience with NASA and/or commercial partner milestone reviews (e.g. Preliminary Design Review), including systems engineering practices and NPR 7120.5 and 7123.1 processes and guidelines as they apply to milestone reviews
  • Integration leadership experience
  • Experience in system engineering integration
  • Self-motivated and proactive in integrating/communicating with others without a lot of hands on direction
  • Ability to lead specific tasks
  • Ability to work within a team environment, where the team is distributed across multiple NASA centers
  • Ability to identify integration concerns and gaps in information and communicate concerns to leadership in a diplomatic and constructive manner
  • Skill in identifying problems, researching, and analyzing information and applying and interpreting concepts and principles to achieve solutions
  • Ability to perform integration and provide issues resolution at all levels within a major program, across program/center lines, and with a prime contractor for various purposes in parallel
  • Well-developed skills in both written and verbal communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)

You Might Also Have:
  • Experience with mission requirements development/management
  • Experience in developing NASA or NASA-related system engineering and/or mission integration/operations documentation
  • Experience with M2M Program or associated programs and projects
  • Experience with mission operations/real-time mission support

Pay Range: Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
