Leidos' Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) operation is seeking a Systems Test Engineer in Tewksbury, MA to join our cross-functional engineering team using cutting edge technology to develop truly novel solutions that make travel and trade safer, healthier, and more efficient on a global level. As a member of the Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team, you will be joining a diverse and dedicated group who are excited about producing industry leading screening technology. Our team produces a comprehensive suite of fully automated and integrated products for aviation, shipping ports, border crossings, and critical infrastructure customers. These systems provide threat detection by screening baggage, cargo, and people at checkpoints around the world.

The Systems Test Engineer will work closely with Software and Hardware Engineers throughout the development cycle and be responsible for fully testing our security detection product to ensure it functions properly and meets requirements. Candidates must have experience working with both software and hardware systems and ideally will be able to navigate in a Linux environment. The duties and responsibilities may change from time to time without notice and include but are not limited to the duties described below.

Primary Responsibilities

• Software release testing - all stages of testing on Scanner, Viewing Station, Integrated conveyor system
• EOL Qualification Testing - test components to replace EOL items (ex. Video cards, hard-drives, etc)
• Develop test environments and test cases for all mechanical and electrical systems
• Create formal released documentation. Tech writing experience is highly desired.
• Detailed understanding of how to properly document test cases and create effective test plans.
• Document and monitor testing outcomes and establish steps to remedy problems.
• Ensuring all tests and procedure documentation meet company and industry standards.
• Regression Test skills - able to identify functional areas of a product feature for narrow focused testing.
• Analyze test results, detect issues and track root causes
• Ensure products and procedures meet industry standards (e.g. ISO)

Basic Qualifications

• BS Degree. May consider years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Familiarity with creating and defining requirements
• Ability to travel to customer sites as required
• Some lifting required during testing (Bags are around 20 pounds typically)
• Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US Citizenship required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Intermediate Technical writing experience
• Intermediate -Upper Skill Level: Linux command line skills, Linux Administration skills
• Intermediate networking Windows and Linux machines skills.
• Any scripting skills (python, bash) are a big plus.
• Hands-on experience such as swapping out video cards, drives, etc, would be a big plus.

Pay Range: Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00
