Insight Global is seeking an experienced Systems/Network Engineer to join our client within their Technology Services Division. The position duties include:
Working closely with other IT teams including Information Security, Service Desk, Quality Assurance, Production Support and product vendors to plan, deploy and sustain a stable, highly performing and available infrastructure and application environment.
Ownership/oversight and hands-on planning, deployment and operational upkeep of the organizations infrastructure and applications.
Proactive monitoring, identification and resolution of the most complex infrastructure and application problems.
Promoting and advancing team efficiencies and capabilities through DevOps/automation improvements.
Maintain timely, accurate and complete documentation and desk procedures for systems and team functions.
Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
Administration and management of multi-tiered COTS applications, public-cloud services, physical and virtual servers, mid-tier storage arrays and SAN, security appliances, and Active Directory and Group Policy.
Secure remote access, remote desktop/VDI.
Adherence to Incident, Problem, Configuration and Change Management processes and controls.
Perform IT Service Management functions including creating tickets, communicating directly with users/IT staff, fielding incident escalations, performing troubleshooting operations and thoroughly documenting progress/status.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors in Computer/Information Systems and/or 5 years of experience as a server/network administrator in a medium-large enterprise; specifically, knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
Ability to automate operational tasks and routines using PowerShell and/or other automation platforms/methods.
Experience working in a 24x7, mission-critical enterprise public cloud and on-premises data center environment.
Thorough understanding of multi-tiered application architecture.
One or more relevant industry-accepted certifications related to the following technologies: AWS, Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare, etc.
