l. The completed application will be reviewed for completeness by the Human Resources Department and other designated Managers, who will determine whether to interview the applicant. We do not automatically interview all applicants.
  • If no interview is planned, the application is placed in an active file for the position involved and held for a period of three months. These applications are reviewed at a later time, if and when additional openings for the position become available.

2. Interviewees who are selected for employment are usually contacted within two to three days after their interview. Arrangements will then be made to complete all necessary paperwork to begin the background investigation. Many pre-hires will be required to complete an application packet for Arizona Department of Gaming Certification and/or a Tribal Gaming License depending on position offered.
  • The fee for certification will be payable by the pre-hire depending on the position offered.

Important information for the candidate.
  • Felony convictions will be grounds for denial of Gaming Certification and/or a Tribal Gaming License.
  • All new hires will be required to submit verification of authorization to work within the United States in accordance with federal law. Employment is contingent on passing a drug test.
  • Preference in filling any non-grant / non-contract funded vacancies is given to enrolled Tribal Members of the Yavapai-Prescott Indian Tribe and to other qualified Indian candidates in accordance with the Indian Employment Preference Policy and Procedure. Documentation of Tribal enrollment required (Tribal Enrollment Card, Certificate of Indian Blood or Tribal Voter Registration Card).

POSITION TITLE: TABLE GAMES SHIFT MANAGER
LOCATION: Prescott, AZ
REPORTS TO: Table Games Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the management of the Pit Bosses, Dealers, Pit Clerks and all games and operations on shift; and to ensure our Customers are provided with the finest possible facilities, equipment, service and courtesy. Controls work scheduling, performance monitoring, game action and players. Ensures games are dealt and collections taken in agreement with casino operating practices. Will become familiar with the Tribal/State Gaming Compact, National Indian Gaming Commission’s (NIGC) Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), the Tribal Gaming Code, Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA), the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Title 31, and Departmental Internal Controls and Job Instructions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• This job description does not constitute an employment agreement between the Tribe and the employee and is subject to change as the needs of the Tribe and requirements of the position change. • Has complete knowledge of Casino gaming;
• Monitors and continually evaluates Customer and employee relations to assure quality service;
• Approves comps based on play;
• Schedules Pit Bosses and Dealers;
• Follows and enforces all dealing rules and Internal Controls;
• Responsible for all shift accounting on his/her assigned shift:
A. Supervises table accountability;
B. Keeps and Monitors accuracy of all table accountability;
C. Monitors accuracy of Pit reports;
• Responsible for game integrity:
A. Compliance with all dealing rules and Internal Controls;
B. Accountable for cards and equipment;
C. Protect all games from internal and external manipulation;
• Counsels, guides, and instructs personnel in the proper performance of their duties. Prepares and conducts performance evaluations for personnel;
• Will handle employee and Customer disputes where possible and attempt to provide resolution;
• Keeps management informed on budget and Casino Operation related activities;
• Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License and be insurable under the Yavapai-Prescott Indian Tribe’s Auto Insurance Carrier;
• Will perform other duties as assigned.

JOBDES-Table Games Shift Manager

REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or GED;
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and adhere to the Tribe/Gaming’s Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace Policy during the course of employment;
• Must pass a background security check prior to and during the course of employment with the Tribe/Gaming Agency in order to meet the Tribal State Compact and/or Tribal Gaming Ordinance;
• Must adhere to all Tribal/Gaming Agency Personnel Policies and Procedures;
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time;
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong orientation to excellent customer service;
• Must have reliable, accurate attention to detail; must be very accurate in handling money;
• Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality;
• Must be able to lift, and periodically carry, up to 25 lbs.;
• Must be able to work flexible hours.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
• Prefer Associates Degree;
• Prefer three years directly related gaming experience, including live table games;
• Prefer three years managerial/supervisory experience.
