Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Tableau Analytics Technical Trainer within our team. This role offers remote work opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Under the training lead's direction, perform county trainee recruitment activities, including requests for trainee nominations, meeting invitations, class schedule invitations, and related communications.
    • Under the training lead's direction, maintain Tableau training materials (videos, PowerPoints, and written documentation).
    • Conduct training sessions, including curriculum review, monitoring trainee progress, and providing issue resolution.
    • Assist trainees with troubleshooting issues encountered during training exercises and engage support resources (e.g., Tableau Developers).
    • Collaborate with the technical training team and Tableau technical SMEs to update the Tableau training curriculum as the CARES development and implementation progresses.
    • Facilitate focus groups and conduct surveys to gather trainee feedback.
    • Execute trainee onboarding activities (e.g., Account Creation).
    • Coordinate trainee support needs with other CARES teams (e.g., Tableau Development, Identity & Access Management).
    • Collaborate with the technical training team and technical SMEs (e.g., Data Architect) to define the overall approach for CARES technical knowledge transfer (e.g., Database Overview).
    • Collaborate with technical SMEs to create knowledge transfer materials.
    • Coordinate knowledge transfer sessions and support participation from technical SMEs


Mandatory Qualifications:

    • Minimum of two years of experience delivering training to technical staff.
    • Strong written and verbal communication.
    • At least two years of experience creating Tableau visualizations and reports or holds a current Tableau Desktop Specialist certification.
    • Understanding of database concepts, including data dictionaries and data models.
    • Ability to coordinate with other teams (e.g., Tableau Development, Technical) support, including creating sufficiently detailed service requests (e.g., Jira) systems


Desired S kills/ E xperience :

    • Previous experience working with California county staff.
    • Conceptual understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL).
    • Ability to create simple diagrams using Adobe Illustrator or other vector graphic design tools.
    • Experience with video capture editing techniques and tools (e.g., Camtasia).
    • Previous experience conducting remote training via web conference tools (e.g., Teams, Webex, Zoom).
    • Previous experience using online survey tools (e.g., Qualtrix)

The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current annual range is $80,800 to $105,100.
