A Talent Acquisition (TA) Business Partner is responsible for executing external and internal talent acquisition for all positions within the assigned footprint. In partnership with HR and Business Leadership, this position will develop an understanding of the area's workforce planning needs and build talent acquisition strategies to attract and hire exceptional talent for all positions in division management and below. This position will manage the recruitment life-cycle for all external and internal hires and drive talent pipelines to support today's business objectives and future business goals, committed to providing a diverse slate of candidates for all salaried positions. This position may be assigned additional talent project initiatives or provide support enterprise-wide as needed.

What You'll Do:
    • Perform full life-cycle recruitment, including sourcing strategy development, determination of screen criteria, execution of screening, identification, coordination of marketing campaigns, interviewing, and collaboration with HR and the Hiring Manager through offer completion. Maintain communication with the candidate, business leadership, and others to perform these tasks effectively and efficiently. In coordination with HR, identify gaps in the Hiring Manager interview capability and process.
    • Develop individualized sourcing strategies for the markets supported and execute appropriately. Strategies include but are not limited to cold calling, building networks, leveraging LinkedIn/Indeed/job boards, Trade School & Skilled Trade Program engagement, association and community partnerships, and relationships with passive candidates.
    • Execute recruitment plans to achieve talent acquisition metrics, including candidate quality, candidate throughput, candidate pipeline diversity, diversity hire market alignment, and time to offer. In partnership with HR and business leadership, identify ways to improve efficient time to offer.
    • Use strategic planning information to implement innovative, division-specific talent acquisition plans to develop robust external bench strength of talent.
    • Acquire industry knowledge and competitive market data and use the information to drive potential changes to ensure market alignment with exceptional talent.
    • Assess the community demographics and create a candidate pipeline that meets diversity hiring initiatives and supports the community demographics.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the field and division to meet talent acquisition objectives. Partner with various groups to identify and resolve issues.
    • Develop business acumen, learn what we do, who we are, and how we deliver to our shareholders. Engage the business through ongoing engagement, workforce planning meetings, business leadership meetings, and additional opportunities to learn the current and future talent needed to exceed objectives. Use the information to build the candidate's value proposition. Develop a strong understanding of the talent required to meet the organization's future needs. Create monthly division branding recommendations to support Division talent initiatives and coach HR and Business Leadership to participate in brand advocacy. Encourage engagement by connecting with all Division employees.
    • Ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws and company priorities. Ensure all talent acquisition activities comply with established Vulcan Materials best practice processes and procedures.
    • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

What You'll Need:
    • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, related field, or equivalent work experience. Six (6) plus years of relevant experience is desired.
    • Proven experience as a consultative, innovative problem-solver in talent acquisition or a similar role within a multi-location, multi-state environment.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships with candidates and stakeholders at all levels.
    • Proficiency in leveraging data and analytics to drive talent acquisition recommendations and decisions.
    • Commitment and desire to build business acumen and engage the business.
    • Inspired to collaborate and support the team and TA colleagues enterprise-wide, contributing to enterprise success.
    • Proficiency in navigating high-volume requisitions and managing competing priorities with urgency.
    • Process-oriented with experience utilizing applicant tracking systems and other recruiting platforms

Salary Range. The base salary range for this role is between $77,400 and $108,360 annually. This range does not include our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate's compensation, we consider several factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
