Intern-HR-Talent Development
The Talent Development Intern will play a key role in coordinating the training and development needs of our employees. This includes preparation and delivery of training programs, identifying instructors/resources, and acting as a liaison to departments and other team members. This role will be responsible for supporting new learning initiatives. With our focus on growth, this role will have plenty of challenges to solve as well as opportunity to grow.

Essential Functions
  • Assist with coordination of events and trainings developed and/or hosted by Talent Development
  • Assist with instruction design, development, and testing of courses
  • Support the TD team with learning projects and initiatives, including working with internal leaders and subject matter experts to ensure we meet their requirements
  • Assist with updating our learning management system, CCUonline, with our scheduled training sessions, report and track all training needs and completed training activity, build out of modules and integrations
  • Support the coordination of programs including room bookings, communication design, pre- and post-course work, calendar invitations, reminders, preparation of course materials and follow up evaluation surveys
  • Manage workshop enrollments to ensure we have high attendee numbers; monitoring waiting lists and scheduling sessions for individuals when spaces become available
  • Manage the training room and workshop set-ups, resources required for the session, keep the training rooms stocked up i.e. flip charts, pens etc. are available, rooms are clean and tidy
  • Maintain a log of our training providers, business coaches and technical trainers and proactively seek feedback of existing providers and information regarding new suppliers
  • Continuous evaluation and improvement of each training
  • Support the Talent Development team throughout the onboarding/training process for new hires
  • Maintain curriculum and other talent development resources
  • Collaborate with TD colleagues on special projects


Required Experience
  • A self-directed learner who is interested in developing their skills in the TD field
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication skills and impeccable follow through
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and to adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Learning and Development systems and software a plus (i.e. Learning Management Systems, Camtasia, Articulate/Storyline)
