Position(s) will be located within the following in-state field offices: Bakersfield, Cerritos, Culver City (temporarily headquartered in Cerritos), Diamond Bar, Glendale, Irvine, Riverside, San Diego, or Ventura.

The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) is seeking ambitious and driven individuals to join us as Tax Auditors (TA). The TA position is an entry level professional position with career advancement opportunities and potential for personal development. As a Tax Auditor you will use your critical thinking skills and business acumen to manage audits effectively and efficiently. Your skills will be strengthened as you attend training classes, work with a mentor to develop audit plans, and perform audits. You will develop your communication skills by regularly meeting with taxpayers and their representatives to answer tax related inquiries, explain audit findings and reports. You will have the support of your supervisor, on the job trainers and team members and will learn all facets of the position!

Candidates must complete the required college-level courses by the time of application to be considered eligible. Required courses for this position are listed under the Minimum Qualifications section in this link .

Under Government Code 14200, this position may be eligible for full or part-time telework for eligible candidates residing in California.
