What You'll Do:
- Works under general direction and requires considerable knowledge of Teacher Education
- Provides instruction in arts and in-dividual assistance
- Assesses educational needs of students
- Develops lesson plans to address those needs to include individual assignments and training
- Provides instruction and individual assistance
- Administers, scores and interprets examinations and proficiency indicators
- Maintains discipline and/or security
- Counsels students concerning their performance, behavior and/or personal problems
- Attends meetings as required
- Prepares required records and reports (e.g., enrollment, grades, student progress)
- Inventories and orders supplies and materials needed
- Researches, selects and recommends new teaching materials
- Attends in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development
- Performs other duties as assigned
- This position does require travel and work at London Correctional and Corrections Reception Center
