Job Summary: Join our dynamic team as an Acute Teacher, where you'll play a pivotal role in transforming patient care through education. You will conduct ongoing educational assessments, deliver engaging instruction in a structured classroom environment, and develop innovative interventions for patients needing extra support. Your expertise will shape curriculum development and contribute to comprehensive patient treatment planning.You'll utilize your knowledge of growth and development milestones to tailor interventions for diverse age groups, ensuring every patient receives personalized and effective education. As a Clinical Teacher/Educator, you'll create detailed lesson plans, meticulously maintain records, and ensure a steady supply of age-appropriate instructional materials.Your role extends beyond the classroom, participating in case management activities and ensuring a safe, sanitary environment for all. Qualifications

SKILLS: Requires organizational, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Skill in use and operation of a personal computer, including such software programs as Windows, Word, Excel, etc. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, regulatory agencies, etc. using strong interpersonal communications skills. Ability to exercise professional independent judgment in planning own work, formulating recommendations and making decisions. Working knowledge of state and federal educational laws. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: MA in Special Education or BS in human service field and enrolled in a special education licensure program at an accredited university. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Colorado Department of Education Teaching Certificate, affective needs endorsement, or eligible for emergency licensure/TTE STAFF DEVELOPMENT REQUIREMENTS: Must meet or exceed hospital and regulatory agency training requirements.
