Teaching positions with Muscle Shoals City Schools are typically 187 day assignments unless noted otherwise. New hires with the district are required to attend a one day orientation. More than one position per category may become available and applicants may be considered for placement throughout the district based upon appropriate and current Alabama Certification credentials.

Individuals hired for instructional positions must hold or be eligible for Alabama Teaching Certification in the appropriate field. Individuals hired for administrative positions must hold or be eligible for Alabama Certification as a School Administrator/Instructional Leader.

All positions are posted to meet the minimum number of days required by state regulations and are open until filled by the Muscle Shoals Board of Education.
