Job Summary:
Join a team that prizes collaboration and diversity as part of the growing Center for Innovation in Engineering Education (CIEE) where you can bring your whole self to work and improve the student experience in the College of Engineering. The support and operational arm of CIEE is the Collaboratory for Engineering Education and Teaching Excellence (CEETE) and we are seeking a highly motivated instructional technologist to provide instructional support serving the College of Engineering in educational best practices and technology enhanced active learning environments.

CEETE facilitates and improves the day-to-day experience of students through supporting instructors and graduate students. This position will be instrumental in advancing the practice of active learning across the College and will support instructors who are excited about active learning. This professional will also manage and train a Tier I support team of student employees and support the technology enabled active learning classrooms. They will be expected to operate inclusively in all aspects of their work, partner with College and campus resources to provide high quality service, and work with professional discretion as a Subaccount Administrator for the LMS.

The principal duties include:
- Support the active learning and technology enabled exam space for the College of Engineering, including team support, room scheduling, and instructor orientation
- Develop and manage a group of student employees for Tier I support of LMS, engineering education specific software, and active learning environments
- Act as Subaccount Admin for Canvas LMS with high degree of professional discretion
- Proactively and reactively consult with instructors and stakeholders on pedagogical best practices spanning engineering education, active learning, and inclusive teaching
- Engage as an integral team member with the broader initiatives and priorities of the Center for Innovation in Engineering Education

Education:
Required
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred focus in Engineering, Education or related field
Qualifications:
Required:
- 2 years minimum experience working in higher education, prefer experience working directly with faculty and instructors
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, project scales and scopes, with differing timelines in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting success for all students
- Problem solving experience with education software (Learning Management System LMS) or supporting end users
- Ability to directly, proactively and reactively support faculty/instructors/staff/graduate students

Preferred:
- 2 years minimum experience leading or managing a team
- Demonstrated workshop development/presentation experience for diverse audiences
- Experience with using and consulting about active learning pedagogies and effective use of active learning spaces

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.
