The Team Lead will guide specific projects and be supportive to field staff responsible for retrieving medical records from healthcare facilities such as provider offices and hospitals for the sole purpose of retrospective and prospective chart reviews for health plans and IPO's

This position is full time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.

We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Training primarily on medical chart audit reviews
  • Supervise support a considerable amount of seasonal field employees.
  • In partnership with the Field Supervisors contribute to the development of high-performing team members.
  • Proficient in training staff using web-based platforms including online assessments and tutorials.
  • Ability to identify training methods best suited for meeting company established goals and objectives.
  • Develop, create, plan, and administrator training plans, targeting core learning objectives.
  • Responsible for team building and ensuring teamwork across a geographically diverse workforce
  • Participate in various account management, outreach, and client facing meetings
  • Ensure a high level of technical knowledge with the healthcare industry
  • Monitor and maintain productivity performance metrics and forecast reports
  • Schedule weekly team meetings for continuous training and project updates
  • Communicate update weekly to management regards all key performance measurements.
  • May be assigned other duties.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 2+ years in medical record retrieval OR health information management experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in electronic health record systems
  • Experience reviewing medical records
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (domestically)
  • Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Team lead OR supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to medical record retrieval
  • Experience with Microsoft Word (create correspondence and work within templates), Microsoft Excel (data entry, sort / filter, and work within tables) and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Reside within the state of Pennsylvania
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
