About this role: The U.S. National Development Program (USNDP) is growing, and we're looking to add an additional Team Manager! The Team Manager is responsible for managing team logistics, communication, travel, and uniforms, while building relationships with athletes and their support teams. The Team Manager will support the National Junior Team, National Amateur Team, Walker Cup and other USNDP team events. The Team Manager will also work on other USNDP projects, including scouting and state teams. What you'll do:
  • Responsible for all team logistics including arranging travel, meals, hotels, transportation, family arrangements, player/team communication, liaising with host sites on operational plans, organizing practice sessions, working with internal teams to organize uniforms and equipment, and assisting USNDP coaches as needed
  • Assist U.S. National Development Program (USNDP) coaching staff with delivery of national camps, training sessions, intercountry matches, and tournament scheduling along with coordination of venue, hospitality, hotel, and transportation requirements
  • Work with Senior Director, Player Relations and USGA merchandising on U.S. National Development Program team uniforms, gifting and other team equipment needs, including managing inventory and coordinating shipping
  • Assist Curtis Cup Team Manager and Walker Cup Team Manager on-site during Match week
  • Serve as a scout for potential USNDP athletes at various junior and amateur tournaments and assist USNDP coaching staff on various projects such as combine testing
  • Assist in the delivery and expansion of the USNDP state team project by participating on industry calls, liaising with state team committees, documenting state team progress and drafting frameworks for other states to follow
  • Establish consistent two-way communication and build relationships with elite junior, amateur and collegiate players, families and agents on matters pertinent to the U.S. National Development Program, including leading USNDP activation at USGA championships
  • Assist with strategic communication with U.S. National Development Program alumni, keep contact list up to date
  • Support other projects as assigned by Senior Director Player Relations
Where you'll be:
  • This role will be based at our Liberty Corner, NJ campus on a hybrid schedule. Employees are expected to spend 3 days per week working in the office, between Monday - Thursday. There is a travel component to this role - candidates should be able to travel for up to 12 weeks per year.
What you bring:
  • Bachelors degree in sports management or administration, education, business, communications or other related field
  • 3+ years of experience in sports management or administration, coaching, athlete management and services, professional golf or other related field is required
  • Competitive golf experience at the collegiate or professional level is required
  • Customer service oriented, with excellent communication skills
  • Detail oriented, with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle issues quickly and calmly, ensuring thorough follow through
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow and execute detailed plans - anticipating and analyzing problems and providing logical solutions
