We are in search of a seasoned Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to serve as a Technical Accounting Manager. This individual will act as the primary expert in complex accounting areas, guiding the organization through intricate transactions and standards implementations. A strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the go-to authority on complex accounting topics such as leases, derivatives, consolidations, and revenue recognition.
  • Guidance and Direction: Offer advice and direction on the accounting of major transactions, emerging accounting issues, and significant, non-recurring transactions.
  • Accounting Research: Conduct thorough research on transactions with limited precedent within the company, recommending application of accounting theories.
  • Documentation: Keep detailed records of significant accounting or reporting matters, ensuring compliance and coherence.
  • Auditor Interaction: Engage with external auditors on significant accounting transactions, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and resolution of issues.
  • Operational Collaboration: Work with operational management to suggest and implement necessary adjustments to contracts or strategies to achieve desired financial outcomes.
  • Standard Implementation: Lead the charge in adopting new accounting standards, managing the impact across the company.
  • Customer Service: Ensure superior service levels to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ad-Hoc Tasks: Take on additional duties and tasks as assigned by the Controller.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years in a directly relevant accounting role.
  • Certification: Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or hold an equivalent certification.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Accounting is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting research, transaction accounting, and managing large-scale projects. Strong fundamental accounting and finance knowledge.
  • Competencies: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, advanced communication skills, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Tools: Skilled in the use of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • HLBV Accounting would be a huge plus
