Objective:
Works under general supervision to oversee daily CMM/Service Bulletin and Service Information Letter activities and perform other administrative, data entry and clerical duties as requested to support the Technical Data.

Authorities:
This position acts as a support function for daily Technical Data activities

Duties and Responsibilities

Main Function Responsibilities

Position responsibilities and activities filling Guidelines

• Manage "Tech Writer Tasks" to issue assignments, close out assignments, track on time and right the first time completions on new CMMs/SBs/SILs and revisions.
• Track new and mod programs in oSmoz, assign new CMM numbers and assure CMMs will be released prior to TSO due date.
• Work closely with Program Management to ensure new program dates are listed correctly on oSmoz and updated as necessary.
• Complete monthly specification audits, iSpec2200, S1000d specs, along with Airbus and Boeing audits.
• Upload CMMs and Service Bulletins to Boeing or Airbus portals, as required.
• Maintain CMM, Service Bulletin and Service Information Letter Library (WebX and Z drive).
• Proofread categories and verify all seat part numbers in specific sections of CMMs and Service Bulletins/Service Information Letters.
• Sever as editor for CMMs/SBs and SIL as necessary.
• Upload/download documents to/from Safran LFT site.
• Assign Service Bulletin/Service Information Letter numbers and Regional Jet Mod Kit numbers to engineering.
• Assist writers in reviewing preliminary engineering drawings.
• Start and help move Service Bulletins/Service Information Letters through the Service Bulletin Approval signature process.
• Active role in database development/updates.
• Coordinate with the Aftermarket Sales team to assist customer's access to the CMMs/SBs/SILs via the customer website.
• Assist outside vendors/customers via email, telephone or the customer website to provide documents, information and other assistance, as required.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned by Supervisor or Product Support Manager.

Qualification Requirements

A. Education & Qualification • High school diploma or equivalent required.
B. Work Experience - Technical knowledge •
• Basic knowledge of general office equipment and computer software.
• Data Entry experience preferred.
• English - proficient level required.
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings preferred.
C. Professional Skills • Demonstrate strong skills, speed and accuracy with 10-key by touch.
• Demonstrate strong skills in database usage.
• Strong skills in data entry.
• Ability to proofread small and large technical manuals.
D. Behavioral Skills • Perseverance to push people to complete documents and the signing of documents in a timely manner.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and limited instruction.
• Must have a strong skills for attention to details.
• Must be comfortable with multiple tasks at one time.
• Ability to establish priorities.
E. Desirable Aspects • Working knowledge of authoring software (FrameMaker/Arbortext).
• Knowledge of iSpec2200 and/or S1000d specs.
• Knowledge of Boeing/Airbus/Embraer/Bombardier specifications
